The Monster Talks?!
I can't be the only one who is extremely amazed by how well the monster adapted to his surroundings! Are you serious? He learned pretty much what a human being learns during the course of years in a far shorter time? Wow! After the initial shock wore off, however, I started to feel bad for the monster. He isolates himself because he knows he is ugly and scares people. How would you feel if people cringed at the very sight of you? Would you fire back at them or wallow in your own misery? Think about it.

Like you said, I truly sympathize with the monster. I would hate it if someone judged based on my outward appearance before they met me. Wow. What a great question. I am not the type to pick a fight or fire back. I guess, if put in that situation, I would keep trying really hard to befriend someone. It might help to make the story public. I dont know. Thats a hard question...

I have to agree with both of you. This Monster will live his whole life not knowing how love feels or friendships. I would do the same and go after my creator for making me so ugly. I would find Victor and make him change my appearance to look like a real human, if he didnt, well I would have to get my revenge.

ReplyDeleteI truly sympathize for the monster, but sometimes you have to roll with the punches. I'm saying that the monster is hideous so he should deal with it and get over it. I know it's not that easy, but I don't think he should go around harming people. If he liked his own appearance maybe others would, too. I know what you're saying "Wow! That's mean!", but sometimes we cannot control our lives and have to deal with the issue head on.
